This policy governs the use of AI at Loch Fuar Publications and by Shana Frost across all aspects of the brand, including written work, publications, emails, blogs, images, comments, and videos.

1. AI Use in Everyday Tasks: Loch Fuar Publications and Shana Frost use AI to assist in everyday tasks and brainstorming, such as initial drafts for marketing content (e.g., blog posts, emails). These drafts are edited before final use. Shana Frost has licensed access to AI technologies like ChatGPT and Midjourney.
2. AI-Generated Images: Occasionally, AI-generated images are used in marketing content for social media, emails, blog posts, websites, and Kickstarter campaigns.
3. Creative Work: While AI helps brainstorm ideas (such as book titles), all novels are Shana Frost’s original creations created without using AI. Shana identifies as an AI-Assisted Author, using AI only for non-creative aspects like drafting marketing material.
4. Ethical Use: Loch Fuar Publications and Shana Frost do not use AI to plagiarise, mislead, or cause harm. AI is a tool, not a substitute for human creativity. Human editors, illustrators, and freelancers are actively employed for creative work.
5. Collaborators: Some collaborators use AI to assist with tasks like writing pitches or brainstorming. Whenever AI is used significantly, it will be disclosed.
6. Transparency: Wherever necessary, we mention the extent to which AI was used to create or influence any content, whether factual or creative.
7. No Substitution of Human Work: Despite extensive AI use in backend processes, Loch Fuar Publications and Shana Frost value human input and employ professionals for editing, illustration, and other creative tasks.
