Five years ago, I met a woman in an abandoned alley. She had a sharp brain and all-seeing eyes. However, the day I met her, she'd just witnessed something disturbing in that alley — a dead body.
However, instead of calling the police, this woman absconded from the scene…
At the time, I didn't agree with this lady's decision to leave a poor victim behind. And cop, Robert Muller, agreed with me. He went a step ahead, and tracked this woman down. Her name is Nina Banerjee. Robert questioned her, believed she had committed the murder.
Nina though refused to confess. According to her, she ran away because, like Robert's accusations, she knew the police would blame her. And if not them, then a dangerous gang of thugs would find her.
Now... I thought she was telling porkies. But after I met with Nina again, her story fascinated me.
That fascination brought Nina from the alley to teaming up with Robert and finding her way onto the pages of her novel...
You can meet Nina and Robert in Between the Lies. This novel takes place a few years after Strangers in Crime.
This is the first official novel in the Scottish Investigators: Glasgow series. It's the perfect size to dive into for the weekend. If you're looking for some enemies to lovers, interracial romance based in Glasgow, this is the novel for you!
Read it on my website: Between the Lies
Clarification: When I say I met Nina, I met her in my imagination and not IRL!
